14th Students Quran Competition Underway in Indonesia
According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, training faithful and pious students towards golden Indonesia is the motto of this edition of the Quranic event.
It has been organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in cooperation with 167 universities of the country.
Quran recitation, memorization, interpretation and Quranic concepts are the categories of the competition.
The Quranic software category has been added to the contest this year.
Exhibitions showcasing Iranian calligraphy and Islamic clothing as well as various seminars are among the sideline programs of the competition.
Muhammad Hussein Sa’idian, internationally known Iranian Quran reciter has been invited to supervise the competition.
He has served as a member of board of judges in several international Quran competitions in Iran, Syria and Russia.
The national Quran competition in Indonesia concludes on August 8.
