“Islamic and Quranic Arts” To Be Exhibited in India

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An exhibition of Islamic and Quranic Arts and crafts will be opened today, August 6, by the Iranian Cultural Center in New Delhi, India.


According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the exhibition will be organized in cooperation with Noor Microfilm Center and Jamia Millia Islamia, the public central university in the capital city.



The president of the Islamic university, minister of religious minorities, Iranian ambassador to India, deputy of the Iranian cultural attaché in India and academic and cultural figures of the country will participate in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.



The main objective of the exhibition is to disseminate Quranic culture and introduce Quranic and Islamic art to the society.



The biggest copy of the Quran written in India, tableaus of Quranic paintings and handicrafts decorated with Quranic verses will be displayed at the exhibition.



Some workshops on repairing rare precious Quranic manuscripts will also be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
