Quran Academy Launched in Palestine
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran academy was opened in the Palestinian city of al-Khalil (Hebron) in a ceremony earlier this week.
A number of Palestinian figures and officials including Awqaf Minister Yusuf Adeis were present at the ceremony.
Adeis in an address said serving the Quran and developing Quranic sciences is among the Awqaf and Religious Affairs Ministry’s major objectives, Dina al-Watan website reported.
He said despite suffering from Zionist occupation, Palestine is still the land of Quran scholars, reciters and memorizers.
The academy has been launched in the town of al-Samou near Al-Khalil.
It has been established by the Awqaf Ministry with contributions made by the town’s people.
