Ahmad Hajisharif said the total number of Quran copies printed in the country in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20) is about 1,021,000.
He added that the number shows a growth compared to last year’s, Fars news agency reported.
According to Hajisharif, some 845,000 copies of the Quran were printed in the country last year.
The Dar-ol-Quran Organization, affiliated to the Islamic Development Organization, is responsible for overseeing the printing of the Quran in Iran.
