Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) Opens Religious Schools Abroad

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Religious Affairs Section of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine has established a number of religious schools in some Arab and European countries.


According to the website of the Astan, Sheikh Ali Al-Qar’awi, head of the section said that two seminary schools were opened in Oman and Denmark in line with the objectives of the Astan to disseminate Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) teachings.



The Husseini custodianship also held a religious course in Australia which was well received by the citizens, he added.



Al-Qar’awi noted that more than 500 students are studying religious courses in seminary schools of the Astan in different countries.



It has launched a website for online teaching of religious courses by experts of Imam Hussein (AS) Seminary in the holy city of Karbala.



He said that many seminarians particularly those in European countries have welcomed the project and the Astan plans to develop the educational program.



Competitions on memorization of sermons narrated from Imam Ali (AS) and Hazrat Zeynab (SA), and national and international forums are among the activities of Imam Hussein (AS) Seminary.
