Kermanshah to Host Iran’s Nat’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The western province of Kermanshah was selected to host Iran’s national Quran competition this year.

This is according to Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini, the head of Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Affairs Department.
He said registration has begun for attending the preliminary stage of this year’s contest, which will be its 38th edition.
Registration will continue until September 5 and the provincial stage will be held in October, the official went on to say.
Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini also noted that the final round of the national Quranic event is slated for late November.
The previous edition was hosted by the northwestern city of Tabriz, East Azerbaijan province, in February.
