TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian culture ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy said a number of those serving the Holy Quran in the country will be honored in a ceremony next month.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati told IQNA that efforts are underway to make sure that President Hassan Rouhani will attend the event.

He noted that the ceremony had been planned to be held at the Quran exhibition during the holy month of Ramadan (July-August) but was postponed.

Every year, a ceremony is held in the Iranian capital of Tehran to honor those who have served the Holy Book.

The culture ministry’s Quran and Etrat department usually organizes the event.

Those honored include top Quran masters and scholars, Quran reciters and memorizers, and Quran activists.
