ISIL’s Mufti Killed in Airstrike
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The ISIL terrorist group’s mufti was killed during an Iraqi army airstrike north of Mosul in Iraq’s Nineveh province.
The mufti, along with a number of militants belonging to the terrorist group, was targeted while in a meeting.
Since June 2014, Iraq has witnessed a fresh wave of violence after militants from the ISIL terrorist group took control of large swaths of the war-stricken country.
On Sunday, a large number of ISIL Takfiri terrorists were killed in a number of operations by Iraqi troops and popular forces in different parts of the Arab country, official sources said.
Also Iraqi army’s fighter jets managed to inflict heavy losses on the terrorist group in their massive offensive on the terrorists’ positions.
