Western Media behind Spread of Islamophobia in Europe
Zultan Pulk, the head of Hungary’s Islamic Society, said the media portray a negative image of Islam and Muslims and try to present Muslims as extremists, trtturk website reported.
He also deplored the growing anti-Islamic sentiments and Islamophobia in Hungary.
Pulk said Muslims are more and more under threat from radical Islamophobes.
He added that Hijab-wearing Muslim women are suffering the most from the growing Islamophobia in the Eastern European country.
If the trend continues like this, Hungarian Muslims will have to leave for Islamic countries, he went on to say.
As a result of recent attacks carried out by Takfiri groups in different parts of the world and the way Western media portray the developments in the Middle East region, Islamophobia in Europe is on the rise and peaceful Muslims have to pay the price.
