Iran’s Representative Bags 1st Prize in Indonesia Quran Contest
The competition’s panel of judges selected Mahmoud Noruzi as the first rank winner in this category for his brilliant performance.
Javad Soleimani who competed for Iran in recitation of the Holy Quran came third in this category.
Quran reciters from the host country and the Philippines came first and second, respectively.
The international contest began in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta on Tuesday, September 1.
Quran memorizers and Qaris from 21 countries, including Thailand, Iran, Morocco, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Tunisia, Britain, the US, France, Jordan and Belgium took part in the international Quranic event.
Top winners of the two categories of the competition will be awarded in a ceremony after Friday prayers on September 4.
