Registration for Qatar Quran Contest Kicks Off

TEHRAN (IQNA) - Qatar's Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs announced that the registration for the 23rd Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani Holy Quran contest will begin on Tuesday and will run until Thursday, October 15.

The contest is open to citizens and expatriates, both males and females.


Participants will compete in memorization of one of the last five parts of the Holy Quran.


The contest organizing committee said that the contestants' signup process can be completed in the presence of the competitor or their representatives and those who participated in previous contests can sign up via telephone.


The first winner will get QR100,000, while the second, third, fourth and fifth positions in each of the three groups will receive QR85,000, QR70,000, QR60,000 and QR50,000 respectively.
