ICRO to Hold 6th Round of Inter-Religious Dialogue

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) will hold the 6th round of an inter-religious dialogue with the Catholic Church of Austria starting from Monday, October 5 in Vienna.




According to the website of the organization, “Cooperation of Islam and Christianity to Promote the Status of Human Values, Freedom and Justice” is the title of this edition to be organized in cooperation with the University of Vienna’s Faculty of Theology.





The three-day program will be attended by Hojat-ol-Islam Abdul Hussein Khosrowpanah, head of the Iranian Research Institute of Wisdom and Philosophy, Ali Muhammad Helmi, head of ICRO’s Center for Dialogue among Religions and Civilizations, Hojat-ol-Islam Morteza Waedh Javadi Amoli, head of “Ma’arej” Research Center of Divine Sciences, Karen Khanlari, representative of Armenian Christian community of northern Iran in the Islamic Consultative Assembly and Hussein Mir Muhammad Sadeqi, head of the Human Rights Department of Shahid Beheshti University.





“Dialogue on Human’s Freedom and Limitations in View of Divine Books”, “Challenges Facing the Universality of Human’s Freedom”, “Status of Religious Societies Particularly Muslims in the Republic of Austria and Christians in the Islamic Republic of Iran” are the titles of the papers to be discussed in the program.





A collection of the papers to be presented by Muslim and Christian scholars will be published in Persian and German.





The international program will conclude on October 7.





The 5th edition of the dialogue titled “Religion, Ehics and Rights” was held on 17 February 2013 in Tehran.
