TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Egyptian news website said the Zionist regime’s planned competition on Quran and Islam is aimed at recruiting spies for Tel Aviv.

The al-Yawm al-Sabi website said by organizing the contest, the Zionist regime seeks to find agents for its spy agencies from among Arabs living in the “Arab 48” area, which was occupied by the Zionists in 1948.

Earlier this week, an Arabic language radio belonging to the Zionist regime said it plans to hold a competition on Quran and Islam.

The “Voice of Israel” Radio said the competition will feature questions on the Quran, Hadiths of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Islamic history and Arab civilization, al-Bawaba news reported.

It is slated to be held on Thursday, October 8, in the Akko (Acre) in the Occupied Palestine.

The Zionist regime’s ministry of education and its interior ministry’s religions and denominations department will cooperate in organizing the contest.

It is the first time that the fake regime plans to organize such a competition since the 1948 occupation of Palestinian lands.
