TEHRAN (IQNA) - The Dar Al Ber Society (DABS) has run its second forum for Quran voluntary female teachers of the 'Ber Quran memorization' project for girls at its headquarters on Sheikh Zayed road in Dubai.

The seminar, which witnessed 37 female volunteers in the project and a number of guests, spanned a presentation on voluntary work, and a speech on the positives of voluntary work, footage on the need for voluntary work was displayed, and a workshop on voluntary work.

Moza Naseeb, general administrator of the Ber Quran memorization project for girls called for more voluntary engagement from all members of the society. "The event is meant to give a boost to voluntary work and invest the inner powers and creative talents of voluntary Quran teachers."

Pointing out the need for well-trained voluntary Quran teachers, Naseeb highlighted the role of women in voluntary work, the difficulties and challenges impeding the same, the incentives needed to keep on volunteering, and the importance of involving volunteers' relatives in Quran teaching.

"The attendees also had their say on how to develop Quran memorization, and create teams of volunteers in the Quran memorization project."

She said the forum is actually aimed to develop awareness, particularly of women, about the significance of volunteering in the Ber project. "We are in a dire need for qualified female volunteer cadres due to the ongoing expansions of the project and launching new Quran memorization classes, let alone the necessary improvement for the services being provided under the project."

Mona Tarish Al-Alaili, a preacher with the Sharjah Islamic Affairs department, then ran a workshop in which she focused on how critical cooperation for good deeds is, as well as the benefits of good deeds.   She also talked about Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) as a volunteer, citing the stories of exceptional voluntary women companions of the Prophet (PBUH).

She then narrated a story on an unsung volunteer woman, shedding light on the happiest volunteer, leave alone the setbacks of voluntary works, and eternal reward for voluntary work.
