Turkey Has More than 120000 Quran Memorizers
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of the Office for Religious Education affiliated to Turkey’s Dianat Organization announced that the country has more than 120000 memorizers of the Holy Quran.
According to Zamanarabic website, Benjamin Albrag said the number of Quran memorizers officially recoded from 1976 to 2015 in Turkey is 120080.
He added that there are 15000 Quran teaching centers in the country and 61500 school students are also .learning the Quran by heart
The official noted that so far 6150 Turkish students have been granted Quran memorization certificates in 2015.
Turkey is a Muslim majority country with over 98 percent of its population adhering to Islam.
