Christians Visit Arbaeen Photo Exhibition in Lebanon

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Christian residents in Khiam town in the South Lebanon Governorate paid a visit to the photo exhibition being held on the occasion of Arbaeen in different parts of the country.


According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Lebanon, the exhibition was opened on November 12 in a ceremony attended by Iranian cultural attaché in Lebanon, the head of Hezbullah’s Municipalities Union, deputy of Khiam’s mayor and a number of the families of Lebanese martyrs.





It is the second exhibition of the series titled “The Path of Love” and the first of which was held in Ghobeiry district of Beirut from November 4.





80 photos of the Arbaeen processions and a number of cultural and religious products have been put on display at the three-day exhibition.





Some of the photos were taken by Kamaluddin Shahrokh, Iranian photographer who has taken thousands of photos from the holy cities of Mecca and Medina as well as the holy cities in Iraq and ritual ceremonies and published some collections of his photos.





Photos taken by Muslim university students from different countries collected by the World Association of Muslim Students have also been put on display at the expo.





The exhibition will also be held in Tayyiba, Meiss Al-Jabal, Bint Jbeil, Baalbek and the University of Lebanon.





The closing ceremony of the exhibition will be held on the day of Arbaeen next week.
