Criminality is not related to any religion or culture, according to the ISESCO director general.
“There are criminals and terrorists in all cultures and in all societies. We can not attribute the crimes carried by Buddhists to Buddhism or carried by Christians to Christianity and it is the same with the all other religions,” he said.
It is not fair or objective to attribute crimes and terrorist attacks of certain so-called Muslims to Islam, he noted.
The ISESCO director general went on to add that Islam is a religion of peace, knowledge and tolerance and of respecting diversity.
“We condemn strongly what happened in Paris as we condemn what is happening in Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Terrorism is terrorism it has nothing to do with religion,” he said.
