Nat’l Quran Competition Planned in Tunisia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Tunisia's Ministry of Religious Affairs announced that registration for the national competition on Quran memorization and recitation has started in the north African country.


According to arrakmia.com, the competition will be organized for male and female Quran memorizers and Qaris of the country.





December 10 is the deadline of the registration for the competition.





Among the qualifications to participate in the memorization category is that the participant should be less than 24 years old, memorizer of the entire Quran and acquainted with Tajweed and Telawat (Quran reading) principles.





Those willing to attend the recitation category should be less than 39 years old and memorizer of at least 10 successive Juzes (parts) of the Quran and master Tajweed principles as well as Maqamat (styles of Quran recitations).





Winners of the competition will represent Tunisia in international Quran competitions.
