TEHRAN (IQNA) – A preacher of al-Aqsa Mosque criticized Saudi Arabia for its aggression on Yemen, stressing the need for supporting al-Aqsa Mosque instead.

In a speech posted on Youtube, Sheikh Salaheddin Abu Arafa condemned the Saudi airstrikes on Yemen while doing nothing about the Zionist regime’s desecration of al-Aqsa, the Sabanet website reported.

Saudi airplanes and missiles should bomb the Zionists and liberate al-Aqsa instead of bombing Yemen, he added.

Yemen's defenseless people have been under massive attacks by a coalition led by the Saudi regime for months.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies, including the UAE, began to launch deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

More than 5400 people, many of them children and women, have been killed in the Saudi-led aggression against the Arab country so far.
