Egypt to Gift Quran Exegesis to Switzerland
According to Alwafd website, the books, in German, French and Italian, will be gifted to the Swiss government in cooperation with the Egyptian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs.
Mohammad Mukhtar Juma, Egypt’s minister of endowment, announced his
agreement with the decision in a statement published on December 13.
The decision was made following the request of the Switzerland’s
Ministry of Foreign Affairs which plans to distribute Quran
interpretations and Islamic books among the Swiss youth in order to
fight extremism and disseminate teachings of Islam.
The Egyptian minister also stressed that a collection of 100 books in
German, including 50 copies of a book titled "The concepts to Be
Rectified” and 50 copies of the "Method of Revising Religious Thought”
to be sent for the Egypt’s embassy in Germany.
