According to Al-Mashriq newspaper, it was announced by Mahmoud Al-Habbash, the Supreme Shari'ah Judge of the Palestinian Authority, who was speaking in a ceremony held on December 25 in Ramallah on the birthday anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
He said that the national Quran is the first copy of the Holy Quran inscribed by a Palestinian calligrapher.
Al-Habbash also added that Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the State of Palestine and Palestinian National Authority, will sign the historical document for the printing and publication of the Mushaf in the coming days which will be revised by Al-Azhar Islamic Center.
He added that Sahir Ka’bi, the Palestinian calligrapher started the inscription of the Quran copy a few month ago.
Ka’bi is one of the most eminent calligraphers in the Arab and Muslim world who has so far inscribed the national Mushafs of the UAE and the Levant. He was honored by the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex.
