“Islamic Movies” Festival Planned in Afghanistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The first festival of Islamic movies will be held in Afghanistan in April by Nama-Resaneh Art-Cultural Institute .

According to the website of the Iranian Cultural Center in Kabul, the festival has been planned with the aim of promoting Islamic values, developing Islamic arts and supporting the film-making industry in the South Asian country.

Those willing to attend the competition should submit their productions on religious themes to the secretariat of the festival at Khatam-ul-Anbiya Center by January 20.

Three top works will be selected from among the best directed films, the best shooting and the best research for documentaries and the best scriptwriting for stories.

The festival will be held from April 6 to 8.
