Morocco to Host “Tajweed of Quran” Int’l Festival

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The third international festival of “Tajweed of Quran” will be held starting from January 29 in Casablanca, Morocco.

According to Al-Maghribia website, this edition of the festival will be organized by Badirah Association for Social Relations and Development.

The festival's board of judges will be headed by Hajar Boussak, a top Moroccan Qari and winner of the first international competition on Tajweed of Quran in the country.

Sheikh Saeed Muslim, who headed the board in the second edition of the festival, and some eminent Quran reciters are the members of the board in third edition of the Quranic event.

The three-day festival will be attended by more than 400 Qaris from different parts of Morocco as well as some other Arab and Islamic countries.

The organizing committee has announced that the festival will be organized for different age groups and best Quran reciters in each age group will be awarded.

Allamah Muhammad Al-Qantawi, a famous Moroccan Quran activist who has trained top Qaris, will also be honored in this edition of the festival.
