“Amir Al-Qurra” Quranic Plan in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The second stage of “Amir Al-Qurra” national Quranic plan for teenagers in Iraq has been implemented by the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.

According to Qaf news agency, the Quranic event started on February 2 under the supervision of the Center for Training Quran Memorizers and Reciters affiliated to the Quranic Institute of the Astan.

60 Quran activists from 10 provinces of Iraq, who are the top participants of the first stage of the program, have participated in the second stage.

Besides the study and review of the first stage’s lessons, the students participate at a specialized educational course.

Quran experts of the Arab country consider the plan as a unique and important Quranic project.

The first stage of the plan was implemented during the summer of 2015 for students of elementary and secondary schools aiming to help the children make the best use of their holidays to promote their Quranic skills.
