TEHRAN (IQNA) – The religious affairs minister of Tunisia called for a plan for training 100,000 memorizers of the Holy Quran in the country.
Mohamed Khalil made the call in a meeting with head of the North African country’s National Quran Society Mohamed Mashfar and its members on Sunday, the tunisien.tn website reported.
He said the training of this number of Quran memorizers should be completed in three years.

Khalil added that the religious affairs ministry will provide the society with all the facilities and manpower to implement the plan.
He reiterated support for the society’s efforts to promote Quran memorization and spread the Quranci culture in the country.
Mashfar in the meeting presented a report on the activities of the National Quran Society and the challenges on the way of the society’s Quranic education programs.
