According to echoroukonline.com, the competition was organized in line with Mazameer Davoud Program of the channel for the children of the country with the aim of identifying the Quranic talents among the younger generation.
50 Algerian children competed in this stage of the Quranic program from among whom 25 ones were selected to participate in the next stage.
The jury panel of the competition, headed by Sheikh Abdul Ghadir Barahimi, will select 12 top Quran memorizers from among the 25 participants to compete in the semi-final stage.
The preliminary stage was held with the presence of Seyyed Ali Fudhail, director general of Echorouk Institute in Algeria, and under the supervision of Rashid Fudhail, Algerian journalist. Ridhvan Hussein, famous producer of religious programs, was the executor of the TV competition.
Ridhvan Hussein said that the 50 participants were selected from among hundreds of children who sent applications from all over the country to attend the competition.
Those memorizers of the entire Quran who aged under 15 were asked to email an audio file of their Tarteel recitation of Surah Al-Zuha to the channel, he added.
It was the third Quran competition organized by the institute. "Al-Mahir bi Al-Quran” and "Sunnah Al-Mustafa (PBUH)” were the two other Quran competitions that the institute respectively held in the holy month of Ramadan 2014 and on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
