TEHRAN (IQNA) – India’s Jamaat-e-Islami Hind State vice-president Mohammed Rafi released the Telugu version of the Quran at press club in the state of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

Addressing the media later, he said the Quran had not gained prominence in Telugu States due to its print in Arabic.

The holy book that advocates universal brotherhood and prosperity of all also guides people on how to tend children and the old in their ripe age, he said.

It also suggests solutions to corruption and irregularities and how to assist those in distress, he said.

Stating that his organization has been conducting several programs for Hindu-Muslim unity in the country, he said similar programs would also be organized in the district.
