Nat’l Competition Planned for Quranic Centers’ Representatives in UAE

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Department in the UAE announced the beginning of registration for a nation Quran competition for the country’s Quranic centers.

According to alkhaleej.ae website, Quran learners of the Persian Gulf country’s Quranic centers, social welfare institutions and centers for people with special needs can take part in the contest.

Registration for the 7th edition of the competition has begun and will continue until Thursday, March 10.

It will be held in the categories of memorization and Tajweed recitation of the Holy Quran.

There will be three stages, according to the organizers. In the first round, Quran learners of each center compete to qualify for the second stage.

The final round is slated to be hosted by the capital city of Abu Dhabi on May 9.

In other news, the Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Department announced that it has drawn up a plan for an integrated approach to Quran memorization teaching in all Quranic centers across the United Arab Emirates.
