Book on Tajweed Published in Russia
The Zayd ibn Thabit Quranic Center has made the book available in the Russian language as part of efforts to promote religious books.
Ilyas Hazrat Ilyasev, director of the center, said it is one in a series of books published to develop teaching the Quran and religious issues.
He said the experiences obtained from Quran teaching courses in Russia have been used in writing the book.
Ilyasev went on to say that students of a Quranic center in Saratov will be the first to use the book in learning Tajweed.
Muslim minorities make up approximately 15 percent of Russia’s population. Islam is the second most widely professed religion in the country and considered as one of Russia’s traditional religions, legally a part of Russian historical heritage.
