Quran Competition for Women Planned in Australia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The first edition of “Al-Huda” Quran memorization and interpretation competition for women will be organized in western Australia.

According to Qaaf news agency, the Quranic event, which is the first Quran competition in this part of the country, has been planned by the female Quran activists of the region.

Encouraging women to memorize the Divine verses and dissemination of Quranic culture among the youth and Muslim and Arab minorities in Australia are the main objectives of the competition.

It will be held some time after this year's Eid Al-Fitr (July 8).

The participants will compete in memorization of Surah (chapter) Al-Jumu’ah and interpretation of Surahs Al-Jumu’ah and Al-Munafiqun.

The 1st of May is the deadline for signing up for the competition.
