Unknown Individual Desecrates Quran in Jordan Mosque
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An unidentified individual broke into a mosque in Jordan and tore pages of copies of the Holy Quran.
According to Mubashir website, the mosque is in al-Kharaj town in al-Wasatiya region of Irbid province, north of the country.
The individual vandalized the mosque and tore pages of the Qurans.
There have been photos of the incident posted on social media that show the scale of the damage.
There has been no word from authorities about possible measures taken to arrest the vandal.
Jordan is a Muslim majority Arab country where nearly 99 percent of the people practice Islam.
