“Beautiful Quran Recitation” Competition Planned in Egypt
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An adviser to the Sheikh of Al-Azhar Islamic Center in Egypt announced that the annual Quran recitation competition titled “Beautiful Recitation” will be organized in the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Al-Wafd website, Muhammad Muhanna said those willing to participate in the Quranic event should fill the registration forms at the office of Al-Azhar’s Grand Mosque.
Registration for the competition will begin in mid Rajab (April 23) and continue for 15 days.
The qualification of those signing up for the competition will be evaluated in a preliminary examination.
He added that the Holy Quran Section of the center will hold the competition under the supervision of Ahmed el-Tayyeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar.
Identifying top Quranic talents is the main objective of the competition, he went on to say.
Winners will be awarded in a ceremony to be held with the participation of senior Al-Azhar figures in the holy month of Ramadan (June- July).
