Women Quran Teacher Training Course Begins in Indonesia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 8th edition of Quran teachers training course for Indonesian women has been organized in Jakarta by the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine.

According to Qaaf news agency, Muhammad Baqer Al-Mansouri, memorizer of the entire Quran who supervises this edition of the educational program said that it has been attended by 18 female Quran activists from Jakarta and Surabaya cities of Indonesia.

The participants are Quran teachers and university students and those from educational religious centers, he added.

The themes of the course include theoretical and practical principles of reading the Quran, memorization of the 30^th Juz (part) of the Quran, methods of Quran memorization and teaching methods for memorizing the Divine verses.

The Dar-ol-Quran Section of the Astan has organized the course and provided facilities and services for the participants.

Al-Mansouri said that so far more than 185 male and female Quran teachers from different parts of Indonesia have taken the Quranic courses held by the center.

The 7^th edition of Quran teacher training course for men was held from April 1 for one week in Jakarta, the capital city.

Quranic activists from different Islamic schools of thought attended the program.
