Terrorism, A Problem Created by US: Iran’s Parliament Speaker

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani slammed the United States’ employment of terrorism to advance its agenda.


Speaking at the first meeting of Eurasian parliamentary speakers in Moscow on Tuesday, Larijani referred to the crises in regional countries like Syria, Libya, Iraq and Yemen and dismissing the US claims of fighting terrorism said Washington has itself created the problem of terrorism.

He added that terrorist groups are agents of US intelligence services.

Larijani further underlined the need for all governments to make joint efforts in the fight against terrorism.

Elsewhere, the Iranian parliament speaker described the United States’ unilateralism in the world following the collapse of the Soviet Union and said Washington’s attempts to impose it unilateralism on the world have failed.

The first conference of the Eurasian states’ parliament speakers, titled Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in the Interests of Joint Prosperity of the Counties in the Eurasian Region in the 21st Century, opened in Moscow on Tuesday. Speakers from 19 countries are attending the meeting.

Larijani is in Moscow at the invitation of Russian State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin. During his two-day stay, the Iranian parliament speaker is scheduled to hold talks with Russian officials and other dignitaries attending the meeting.
