“Best Tarteel Recitation” Competition to Be Held in UAE

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The preliminary stage of the 10th edition of the UAE’s national Quran competition titled “The Best Tarteel Recitation” will begin on April 23.

According to WAM news agency, the competition will be organized for "children” under 13, "boys” from 13 to 25, "the youth”, "imams of mosques” and participants from other country who will compete in "Adhan and Iqama”.

Ibrahim Bumilha, cultural advisor to the ruler of Dubai and head of the organizing committee of Dubai Holy Quran Award, said that the preliminary stage of the competition will be held for Abu Dhabi citizens on April 23.

Those attending the competition from Sharjah and Dubai will respectively compete on April 24 and 25 and the competition in Al-Ain and Ras Al-Khaimah will be held on April 26.

The Quranic event in Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al-Quwain will be organized on April 27.

Bumilha added that the participants in "Adhan and Iqama” category will compete on April 30.

Muhammad Abdul Rahim Sultan Al-Ulama, head of the Quran Memorization Education and Competition Section of Dubai International Quran Award Institute praised the high level of the participants in Tajweed and Tarteel recitation of Quran in this edition of the competition.

He said that the five categories of the competition will be respectively attended by 54, 90, 35, 98 and 43 contestants.

The final stage of the competition for these categories will be respectively held on April 30, and May 1, 2, 3 and 4.

The institute will host the closing ceremony of the 10th edition of the national Quran competition.

The preliminary stage will be supervised by a committee of experts comprised Sheikh Ali Musbih Al-Katbi, Sheikh Walid Hamd Al-Marzouqi, Sheikh Sultan Abdullah Al-Marzouqi, and Sami Abdul Aziz.
