Morocco Nat’l Quran Competition to Be Held in Ramadan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The national Quran memorization, Tarteel and Tajweed competition in Morocco will be organized in the holy month of Ramadan in Rabat, the capital.

 

According to nadorcity.com, it will be the final stage of the Quranic event, which is to be hosted by the city’s Al-Sunnah Mosque.

The preliminary stage of the event, titled 'King Mohammed VI International Holy Quran Contest’, is underway for 200 male and female participants in different provinces of the country and winners will compete in the final stage.

Quran memorization and Tarteel recitation, memorization of five Hizbs (sections) with Tajweed of Maghribi script and memorization of five Hizbs with Tajweed of Mashriqi script are the categories of the preliminary stage.

The national Quran competition in Morocco is annually held by the country’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

Morocco is a country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. More than 99% of the people of Morocco adhere to Islam.
