Majid Pireh, an expert on Islamic finance with the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran (SEOI), told IQNA that the event is slated for Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4.
The SEOI is organizing the conference in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank, he noted.
He said it is aimed at helping to develop interactions among Islamic financial markets in the world and introduce the new achievements and developments in Iran’s financial market.
The theme of the conference is ‘Islamic financial institutions’, namely those institutions whose activities, partly or entirely, are carried out within the framework of Islamic laws, he explained.
Iranian economic scholars as well as 35 experts from 10 other countries will attend the three-day conference, Pireh added.
All the speeches will be presented in English, he went on to say.
