
Master Hamid Murad Ishkinani died at the age of 61, Qaaf news agency reported.
He was a memorizer of the entire Quran and master of different styles of Quran recitation.
Born in 1955, he started learning recitation of the Quran in 1970 and decided imitating the style of Egyptian master Muhammad Sediq Minshawi.
He also studied with Kuwaiti Quran scholars Abdul Salam Habous and Muhammad Jouhar.
In 2006, Ishkinani received permission of Shatibiya ten-style Quran recitation from Sheikh Abdul Razaq bin Mousa.
He established Ramadhaniya Quran recitation sessions at al-Naqi Mosque in Kuwait’s al-Dasma region in 1979.
Master Ishkinani served as a member of the jury panel of the 32nd International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran last year.
