TEHRAN (IQNA) – The organizing committee of Malaysia’s 58th international Quran contest announced the members of the competition’s panel of judges.

According to IQNA dispatches, the panel has four Quran experts from the host country, three from Egypt.

Thailand, Qatar, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Brunei, Jordan and Indonesia each have a representative in the 15-strong panel.

Othman bin Mustafa chairs the panel of judges while Ghazali bin Shahabeddin and Muhammad Nureddin bin Bahram are the vice-chairmen.

This year’s edition of the Quran contest, officially named "International Al Quran Recital and Memorisation Assembly”, kicked off in Kuala Lumpur on Monday night.

120 Quran reciters and memorizers from 69 countries are attending the competition.

Iran is represented in the recitation category of the contest by Seyed Mostafa Hosseini.
