Speaking to IQNA, Salehi Amiri said in Imam’s thoughts, which formed the foundation of the political establishment originating from the Islamic Revolution, ethics, justice, freedom and independence, are important.
He added that the main accomplishments of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) thought are related to ethics.
According to the official, Imam Khomeini (RA) also regarded cultural thought as the origin of evolution of the society.
He referred to opposition to prejudices and injustice, the divine origin of power, and justice seeking as other foundations of the thoughts of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.
He stressed the need for introducing Imam Khomeini’s thoughts and ideas to the younger generation in order for the society to continue on the right path.
Elsewhere, Salehi Amiri said that Imam Khomeini’s discourse is one that is free from violence, noting that during the long years leading to the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Imam Khomeini faced restrictions, arrest and being sent into exile but never uttered a word featuring violence about his opponents.
During those years, Imam Khomeini never called for violence and only relied on the power of the masses in the struggle against the Shah, he said.
He added that Imam’s language was one of advice, recommendation, promotion of virtue and prevention of vice.
Salehi Amiri went on to say that the Muslim world is still proud and devoted to Imam Khomeini and his thoughts, ethics and knowledge.
