TEHRAN (IQNA) – Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Hajj and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousuf said the government will include Quranic content in the national and provincial education curriculum to guide students in achieving successes in the fields of science and technology.

"We are finalizing a draft legislation with the input of the provinces to make Quranic education part of the curricula as we cannot attain supremacy in the fields of science and technology without understanding Quran,” he told participants of an educational conference organized by Safa Academy, an orphanage, in Mansehra on Saturday.

Mr Yousuf said his ministry had constituted an ulema and mashaik council on the directive of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to guide the government on conducting day-to-day affairs under Islamic injunctions.

The federal minister said keeping in view the importance of science and technology education for country’s prosperity and development, the federal government had brought major changes to the education policy to attain achievements in both the fields.
