“Imam Ali (AS)” Quranic School Opens in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar-ol-Quran of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) launched “Imam Ali (AS)” Quranic School in Al-Hurr Al-Sagheer region of the holy city of Karbala, Iraq.

According to the website of the Astan, the main objective of the school is to train a generation acquainted with Quranic teachings.

The opening ceremony of the school was attended by Seyyed Ja’far Al-Mousawi, custodian of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, and a number of religious figures of the region.

Ali Ubud Al-Tayi, head of the Quran Teaching Section of the Astan said that the Quranic school is one of the modern centers established under the supervision of the Astan.

The two-floor building of the school has a prayer room, information section, restaurant, classes and office.

Quran memorization, recitation, and Tajweed principles will be the themes of the school courses and Quran reading sessions will be held for students.

Seyyed Ahmad Al-Safi, principal of Imam Hussein (AS) School said Quran experts of the educational center are ready to cooperate with the new school in holding courses on jurisprudence and religious beliefs for the students.
