
According to Qaaf news agency, Al-‘Itrah Mosque in Kuwait City hosted the Quranic event held by Quran Committees and Associations of the Arab country.
Hundreds of girls and boys from Kuwait, Egypt and Persian Gulf countries participated in the various categories of the competition including memorization, recitation and contemplation on Quran.
The final stage began with the Quran recitation by Muhammad Anas, Egyptian Qari and continued with a speech presented by Seyyed Hassan Mousawi, head of Kuwait’s Quran Committees and Associations.
Four top Quran reciters from among 30 participants in Tahqeeq recitation category competed in the final stage.
The contest is annually held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
During Ramadan, the month of Quran, various Quranic programs, including competitions, exhibitions and recitation sessions are held all over the Muslim world.
