Quranic Courses Underway in Ethiopia
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A series of Quran teaching courses has been held at Quranic centers in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia in recent weeks.
According to Anatolia news agency, 9 Quranic centers of the city are hosting the courses organized on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The courses have been highly welcomed by different groups of Ethiopian people and 650 citizens have participated in the educational program.
Besides the courses, the centers also host Quran reading sessions during the holy month.
Some of the Quranic centers in Addis Ababa have been launched by Turkish NGOs.
Islam is the second-most widely practiced religion in Ethiopia after Christianity.
