Windsor and London are two of six cities across the country planning to sign a newcharter condemning anti-Muslim hate crimes.
Leaders from those six cities will hold simultaneous news conferences on Monday, following the Canada Day weekend.
The move is prompted by theNational Council of Canadian Muslims, a civil liberties and advocacy organization that says"hate incidents and stereotyping of Canadian Muslims is growing in frequency and intensity."
Other cities signing the charter on Monday includeVancouver, Calgary, Torontoand Montreal.
