Clip Featuring Imam Sadeq’s (AS) Martyrdom to Be Broadcast in India

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A video clip featuring the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jaafar Sadeq (AS) will be aired by two TV channels of India.

Mahdi Zare’ Bi’eyb, in charge of the Iranian Cultural Center in Mumbai, told IQNA that the center produced the video clip and plans to broadcast it online and via some Indian TV channels.

World Islamic Network (WIN) TV based in Mumbai and Zainabia channel, an Indian, Shia religious and general, social, cultural and educational TV channel, will broadcast the special program on July 30.

The biography and Seerah of the sixth infallible Imam as well as Hadiths by the Imam (AS) are the theme of the clip produced in English.

Imam Jaafar Sadeq (AS), the sixth successor to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), is known as the founder of the Jaafari School of jurisprudence and master of Islamic law. He is buried in the holy city of Medina, today’s Saudi Arabia.

Saturday, July 30, corresponding to the 25th day of Shawwal on the lunar Hijri calendar, marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sadeq (AS).
