Titled "Supporting Iraq against Elements of the Daesh Terrorist Group”, it is slated for August 15, Buratha news agency reported.
More than 70 scholars and experts from some 50 countries will be attending the conference.
Also present will be representatives from the United Nations, European Union, NATO, and Arab League.
Organized with the motto of "World Standing with Iraq to Defeat Daesh”, the conference aims to underscore global trust in Iraq in its fight against the terrorist group.
Iraq has been facing the threat of terrorism in the past, mainly posed by the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group.
Daesh militants made swift advances in much of northern and western Iraq over the summer of 2014, after capturing large swaths of northern Syria.
However, a combination of concentrated attacks by the Iraqi military and volunteer forces soon blunted the edge of the Daesh offensive and in the past few months recaptured a large part of the occupied areas from the clutches of the terrorist group.
