TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Emirati charity institute has donated 11,000 copies of the Holy Quran to be distributed among Muslims in Guinea.

According to WAM news agency, the copies were handed out by Dubai Charity in mosques and Quranic centers in Guinea’s capital, Conakry, and other cities.
Guinea is a country on the West coast of Africa. Formerly known as French Guinea, the modern country is sometimes referred to as Guinea-Conakry in order to distinguish it from other parts of the wider region of the same name, such as Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea.
The 2005 official statistics for Islam in Guinea estimate that 85 percent of Guinea’s 7.8 million people are Muslim.
