TEHRAN (IQNA) – A misprint in a verse of the Holy Quran included in a course book has drawn criticism in Egypt.

According to al-Wahda website, the misprint was discovered by school students and posted on social media, causing anger among Egyptians and many in other Arab countries.

It is on page 67 of "Islamic Education” course book where two words of the verse 24 of Surah al-Takwir have been omitted.

The Teachers-Parents Association of Egypt has strongly criticized the negligence, describing it as a distortion of the Word of God.

It wondered how the book has been given permission while containing such an error.
