TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international forum titled “Islamic Identity and Globalization Challenges” is planned to be organized on October 29-30 in Dakar, Senegal.

According to Dakar.icro, the organizing committee of Magal, an annual grand pilgrimage to the city of Touba in Senegal, will hold the forum in the capital city.

Scholars and intellectuals from 10 Muslim countries have been invited to attend the program.

Hojat-ol-Islam Akhtari, Director-General of Ahlul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly who has been invited by Sheikh Bachir Mbacke, director of the committee, will represent Iran in the international event.

Senegal is a country in West Africa with a population of around 14.5 million. Islam is the predominant religion in the country where 92 percent of its population is estimated to be Muslim.
